Work Day #1

Hello everyone who has expressed interest in putting in
some sweat at the garden!

I’m officially scheduling the first work day.

Please RSVP if you want to come and let me know which of
the jobs you’re most into working on so we can discuss
tools and materials to have ready.   You’ll notice there
are a lot of “building” jobs; that’s because building things, especially
out of wood, is not my strength!  Anyone with these skills will
be very appreciated as some of these jobs are essential to the
overall garden operation.

What: In the 2.5 hours I’d like us to work on any of the following:
-turning compost pile
-making new compost piles
-mowing
-weeding Nut Sedge
-building shipping pallet work benches
-building a couple sinks w/ stands
from 55 gallon drums and scrap wood
-building a second garden gate
-building an arched trellis over existing gate
-clearing invasive vines from the back fence

When: Tuesday, August 10th
Where: 8290 NE 4th Ave. Miami, FL 33138
Time: roughly 5:30pm-8:00pm

Please feel free to invite anyone you think would be interested.

Thank you so much for your help!

Let me know if you have any questions.

yesiiir! Hey I think I can help tuesday!
Can I come a little earlier even — like at 5 or should I just come at 5:30?

The composting jobs sound fun to me…but I’ll help with anything.

    See you there,
    Jen

Yesiiir! You can definitely come earlier. Call or text to double check I’m already there.

  • Hi,
I just emailed you before checking on your blog. :)
I can make it…but have to leave by 7:30pm.
I’d prefer getting my hands in the dirt rather than on a hammer…but will help any way I can!

Hi! I’m super interested in helping out the next time you need it! Or doing any kind of volunteer work. I play with the New World Symphony, and we are very busy, but any time I can I would love to help!
